We are so lucky with the weather... couldnt really ask for more. I think this is possibly the best time to visit the west coast of Ireland as the landscapes and scenary are stunning. Today we drove round a headland in Connemarra - Cashel to Clifden and the hedgerows are amazing fuĺl of wild fuschias. Our final destination stop was Alesund. This is a very pretty town in southern Norway built on a peninsula. All the houses are painted pretty colours and a lot of the architecture is all very Art Nouveau based. This is because the town itself was completely burnt to the ground In 1904 by a fire for which they never found the original cause. The whole town had to be rebuilt and this became a huge National Effort and a lot of prominent and up and coming architects flocked to the town to stick there 20 pence in. Ayup you 2! You are doing much better with your blog than I did with mine. Struggled to get power and WiFi, so started writing a journal... and then my pen ran out! ;/ We have just been reading all your updates and it reminds us for our trip down the west coast and especially Connemara - loved Connemara... and I was also blown away by all the fuschia hedgerows and the side of the roads red with squashed flowers. Stunning beaches too. Hope the good weather holds on for you a bit longer. Love from us both :) xx
