Samples for Print

Sneak preview for samples going to print...  checking for colour and size... I am having such a lot of fun putting these designs together - so much funky colour going on and some of these are destined for further embellishment with some bling and beading and maybe a bit of embroidery... I now have 12 definitive final designs -I'm aiming for 24 - the others aren't far behind.  While its great fun I just cant stop putting things together I have so many primary drawings and photographs I just want to get the best out of them.  I have used a lot of photograph resources this time something quite new for me.  My Photoshop skills have come on in leaps and bounds - overlaying colours, stacking layers, experimenting with image hues, levels, differences, smudging....... and more.  I've been doing web based tutorials to hone skills and while it doesn't stick immediately I know where to go to revisit when I need to. My next dilemma is what fabric to print on, I was go...

Lockout - and Sketch Books....

Another crazy week, this week I managed to lock myself out of the house very late at night wearing mainly pyjamas - thank goodness for kind and resourceful neighbors who finally helped me break back in (took 90 minutes in howling gales)- its quite comforting to know how difficult it is to actually break into our house and believe me we will not be pursuing a burglary career... the start of a new sketch book ..(lacking colour to date) College yielded an excellent tuition session on Photoshop - never thought I would say that but it inspired confidence in my currently diminished abilities and I feel sure I can brush up and charge headily onto the world of digital design - yes I know that is optimistic but that's how I felt on Friday so long may it last - I shall make the most of the feeling!!! We had a lovely weekend in Leeds celebrating my youngest grand daughters 3rd birthday - given the current sad family circumstances it was a very good day - she certainly enjoyed the cop...
