Virginia city is the last in a road trip of so called Ghost towns....but they did all look very lived in. What makes them special is the old buildings have been preserved from
when the towns we thriving gold towns.
Most of Virginia cities main street is intact from at least 1915 and
some of it much earlier. It has survived
because they were lucky and didn’t experience much in the way of fire damage
which wiped out other like towns. A lot
of the town buildings were added to or built on and changed but places like the
Barbers shop was almost entirely original.
It was a mix of the buildings made into museums and others into gift
shops selling mainly tat and overpriced antiques.
